By enabling this functionality, you can let senders upload their own images, input custom messages, or add names directly into your eCard templates. The result? Step-by-Step: How to Enable Custom Fields in Your eCard
1. Create or Edit an eCard Template
Log in to your eCardWidget dashboard, navigate to the widget you want to update, then click the eCards tab. You can choose an existing design or create one from scratch.
2. Open the Merge Tags Tab
Once your design is ready, go to the Merge Tags tab on the left sidebar and click “Launch Form Editor.”
3. Add Custom Fields
Choose from field types like:
Short Text – Great for merging names or titles into the card
Image – Allows senders to upload their own images
4. Customize Each Field
Set the field’s label, placeholder, and any hints to guide your users. You can also choose whether each field is required.
5. Place Fields on Your eCard Design
Once your field is configured, click Done. Then, click the red icon next to the field name to make it visible in the eCard design. Drag and drop the field to the exact spot where you want it to appear—like below a message or inside a photo frame.
6. Save and Preview
Click Apply to save your form, then head to the Preview & Send tab to make sure everything looks and works as expected.
