Email Domain Allow Lists: Secure Your eCard Communications
โ€‹

In our ongoing effort to provide robust security and customization features, eCardWidget now includes the ability to restrict which email domains can send and receive eCards through your Widget Email Forms. This new feature is essential for organizations looking to maintain control over their communication channels and enhance security by preventing unauthorized use.

Configuring Domain Allow Lists

  1. Sender Email Domain Allow List:

    • Purpose: Restricts which domains are allowed to send eCards using your widget.

    • How to Use: Enter a comma-separated list of domains you wish to allow. For example, if you want to permit emails only from your organization, you could list yourcompany.com.

    • Leaving it Blank: If no domains are specified, the form will accept emails from any domain, which could be less secure.

  2. Recipient Email Domain Allow List:

    • Purpose: Limits the domains to which recipients can belong. This is particularly useful for internal campaigns where you might only want employees with company emails to receive eCards.

    • How to Use: Similar to the sender list, input a comma-separated list of domains. This restricts where the eCards can be sent.

    • Leaving it Blank: Without any specified domains, recipients from any domain can receive eCards sent through your widget.

Why Use Domain Allow Lists?

Using domain allow lists helps you:

  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards by controlling who can interact with your eCards.

  • Reduce Spam Risks: Limit the risk of spam or unauthorized use by restricting eCard sending and receiving to approved domains.

  • Enhance Data Security: Protect sensitive information by ensuring that only designated domain email addresses are involved in eCard exchanges.
