At eCardWidget, we understand the importance of data security. We discuss our procedures for collecting, storing, and securing email addresses collected on our platform below.

Email Collection and Storage

The personal data of senders, such as email addresses, names, and messages, is strictly used for the sole purpose of sending and sharing ecards. We firmly stand by our commitment: we do not sell your data. All recipients can access their ecard for a period of 90 days, after which the data is automatically removed from our system. Ensuring the security of your data is paramount to us; hence, all information is encrypted at rest using AES encryption.

When senders schedule their ecard transmissions for future dates, we retain the necessary information until the ecard has been sent, and subsequently, keep it for the 90-day hosting period.

Our mission is to provide a seamless ecard experience, maintaining the utmost transparency and commitment to user data protection.

Third-Party Email Logs

Our email service providers, Sendgrid and Postmark, maintain email logs for delivery purposes only. It is noteworthy that Postmark expunges email addresses from their logs after 45 days of email transmission, while Sendgrid deletes them after 30 days. Please refer to the privacy policies of Sendgrid and Postmark, provided in the links below, for further information:

Data Protection

For the protection of the email addresses and names stored on our platform, we abide by industry-standard security protocols and utilize Digital Ocean for our infrastructure hosting. Digital Ocean partners with third-party data centers that maintain stringent access control measures, video surveillance, security, access lists, and exit procedures. Digital Ocean conducts regular data center audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and proper implementation of their security requirements. User Control

We acknowledge that the decision to store email addresses on our servers is at the discretion of the user. Accordingly, we provide the option to enable or disable this feature at any time.
